Pamela:  as per your request, here are two similar experiences.

On the Center Patrol Road of Malheur NWR, I was glassing an Eastern Kingbird 
which was perched on the side of its nest, when a Great Horned Owl flew over 
at probably 100-150 feet above, minding its own business.  The Kingbird must 
have thought otherwise.  It sped off its nest, rose to a spot above the Owl 
(above and behind it), dove onto the Owl's back, grasped it on the shoulders 
between the moving wings, and proceeded to peck furiously.  The owl could 
not shake it.  When it finished its work, the Kingbird  separated and flew 
back to its nest.

More recently, a Brewer's Blackbird did the same to a TV here at my home.  
Again, grasping the back of the TV and pecking it vigorously as it rode 
along.
