Pam, good Question! OBOL, good answers! (Is it the summer birding doldrums
unless you have shorebirds?)
Avian wise, this spring in Clackamas County, a half-dozen Brewer's
Blackbirds harassing a crow, the crow flushes a Raven from a tree top, at
which point the blackbirds depart. Then, the crow harasses the raven off
into the distance.
Since Pam said, ".avian or other", I'll add that my wife and her horses have
been picking on me for quite a while.
Other news, the VG swallows that nested on top of the unsuccessful bluebird
nest (in box), are about to fledge at least one chick.

Dear denizens of obol,
recently I was watching a Barn Swallow harass a flying American Kestrel. It
reminded me of seeing a migrating flock of Barn Swallows go after a
Peregrine Falcon one fall at Hart Mountain.
I thought it would be interesting to ask you about instances when you have
seen birds engage in picking on someone bigger than they are, predator or
interloper, avian or other.
