Percentage of sky covered by clouds: 60%
Precipitation: none

Took the dog on a hike up the Timberline Trail along south side of
Bald Mtn to McNeil Point (straddling the border of Clackamas and Hood
River Counties).  Best birds were a flock of about 15 GRAY-CROWNED
ROSY-FINCHES flying overhead below McNeil Pt, a female TOWNSEND'S
WARBLER, and a HERMIT THRUSH carrying food.

Also managed to identify several butterflies: CHALCEDONA CHECKERSPOT,
SILVERY BLUE, GRAY HAIRSTREAK, and WOODLAND(?) SKIPPER.
