[obol] 110 Bobolink in Crook County

Today I birded Crook County with Denise Reinhart.  The best birds were a
flock of basic plumaged BOBOLINK in an oat field about 1 mile east of
Paulina.  These birds were loosely associated with a large flock of
Red-winged Blackbirds.  We got a high count of 55 birds but estimated that
1/2 of the birds were not visible at any one time.  This is only the second
record of this species in the county that I'm aware of.  Other good birds
included 2 GREAT EGRETS along North Shore Rd., 1 juvenile PEREGRINE FALCON
at Ochoco Reservoir, 2 EASTERN KINGBIRDS at Gutierrez Ranch, 2 BAIRD'S
SANDPIPERS at Ochoco and another at Prineville Sewer Ponds, 10 WHITE-FACED
IBIS at Gutierrez Ranch, 3 PRAIRIE FALCONS along the Paulina Hwy, 19
SANDHILL CRANES at Gutierrez Ranch.

The fall passerine migration is still very slow as there were virtually no
migrants along North Shore Rd..
