[obol] Burrowing Owl

On December 2, 2006, around 10:30 am my husband (Jack) and I saw the burrowing owl at the Wellness Center under a 7' cedar next to the sidewalk.  Great view of the bird.  A gentleman stopped by and was taking pictures.  We stopped by again around 4:00 pm and the bird was gone.  Also saw a lone Brandt feeding along the south Jetty.

On December 1, 2006, around 3:30 pm, at Vancouver Lake, my husband and I also saw at least two short-eared owls flying around.  The hunter in the fields didn't seem to phase the owls.
