It was indeed a fabulous day on the coast, I left the
jacket behind when I was down at Floras Lake in the
PM, here are the highlights:
N. Spit, Coos Bay, AM, CBC scouting has commenced:
1- 1st yr male BARROW'S GOLDENEYE hanging in there
3- PALM WARBLERS
Millicoma Marsh, AM, put more seed down:
The HARRIS' SPARROW is still hanging in there at the
east seed and a SLATE-COLORED JUNCO was at the north
seed. I also saw one Diane Pettey here.
Floras Lake, PM:
3- PALM WARBLERS, at the Blue Silos on the way in.
9- TUNDRA SWANS, in the field on the way in.
Still in need of additional birders for the upcoming
Coos Bay CBC (Sunday the 17th). The Charleston area
is wide open, a good spot for gulls, ducks, grebes,
loons, ocean scoping, Palm Warblers, etc. Let me know
if you are interested.
Nice day!
