Paula Vanderheul and I took advantage of the beautiful weather on the coast and explored the central part of Lincoln Co. coast today. Highlights:

Boiler Bay:
Ancient Murrelets - 2
Marbled Murrelets - several fly-bys
White-winged Scoters - 1 flock > 10 fly-by plus several smaller flocks flying by
Red-necked Grebe - 1

Depoe Bay:
Black Turnstones
Surfbirds
Rock Sandpiper - 1
 - high tide made it easy to see this flock of birds, including the Rock Sandpiper, on the rocks right below the parking area.

Idaho Point:
Large flock of AMERICAN WIGEON, NORTHERN PINTAIL and 1-2 male EURASIAN WIGEON

South Jetty Yaquina Bay:
Rather quiet, 3+ RED-NECKED GREBES worked the channel in the rapidly ebbing tide

Marine Science Center:
Black Scoter - 2
Least Sandpiper - 1
Canada Goose - 1 (possibly Dusky)
 - above all seen in tiny harber where the piers are

Along trail - a PEREGRINE FALCON flew by and later sat on a small stick in the mud flats. It was on the small side, gray backed and had a relatively thin 'mustache'. I didn't get a good look at the breast.
We also saw an ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD at a feeder behind one of the buildings.

Seal Rock:
Black Oystercatcher
Harlequin Duck
Sanderlings - ~ 50 at beach at end of Quail St.
