[obol] Bird specimens

I am interested in finding out who in Oregon maintains bird specimen
collections for teaching purposes. I know at least two OBOLniks who do. It
seems to me that there would be some value in having a centralized list of
what specimens exist in such collections (perhaps a good OFO web site item)
so that researchers can find them.
Owing to very limited collecting in recent decades, Oregon's museum
collections (and Oregon material in other museums) are pretty stale. In
some cases this leads to color changes and other problems that make older
specimens less useful than recent ones for research purposes.
Also, I would like to hear from banders where they send any accidental
specimens that they acquire, and, ideally get a list of what went where.
Finally, I'd like to hear from anyone who knows how to prepare bird
specimens but does not maintain their own teaching collection.
