[obol] Fern Ridge

Good Afternoon,

I stopped by Kirk Pond and Fern Ridge dam for a quick view during the afternoon rains here in Eugene.

Among the Am. Wigeon on Kirk Pond was one male EURASIAN WIGEON.

I pulled off into the parking lot next to the gate at park downstream from the dam.  I could see 9 EGRETS upstream of the bridge and 4 EGRETS downstream of the bridge.  13 egrets in such a small space is impressive.

As I left the parking lot and crossed the river, I was stunned.
There was a total of 30 plus EGRETS between the road and the spillway of the dam.  All that white was stunning contrast to the wet rocks and gray sky.
