[obol] Possible Red-necked Phalarope Flock at Newport South Jetty

Just after sunset the winds and waves really kicked up at the south jetty in
Newport and a large noisy flock of small shorebirds whizzed past me at the
first finger...I am not sure but they sounded like what I remember the
Red-necked Phalaropes from last winter sounding like...and I've been checking
my sound library for these and other possibilities and now I'm more convinced
they were Red-necked Phalaropes. Someone told me that 100mph winds are
predicted for tomorrow afternoon so birding in the Yaquina Bay should be fun.
I'm hoping to see some break dancing spins...and maybe our elusive Snowy Owl
will be lured out :-)

For those interested, the Burrowing Owl was not at the Wellness Center around
sunset (at least not in the obvious places).
