[obol] Male Northern Harrier

I've seen many female Northern Harriers in the South Beach Dunes but today I
identified my first male Northern Harrier....which was exciting because I've
been hoping to see one for a while. I had spotted what may have been a Snowy
Owl in the trees far east of the back dune ridge and had gone in search of a
closer view (with the light fading down the trail near the "no motorized
vehicles" sign)...never found the Snowy Owl because I got side-tracked by a
very close view of a beautiful hawk gliding low to the ground...as it swooped
up I got a good view of its distinctive underside pattern which matched
perfectly the illustrations in my guides for the male Northern Harrier. It was
one of life's little unexpected joys!
