Hello All,
While working in the back yard today I had a Hummingbird feed at the
Hummingbird feeder (very small, all brown, no iridescence). The feeder
has been in place about 3/4 of the year and this was the first I have
observed feeding! (The food in the feeder has never been used, so I
don't think they have been feeding before.)
I also had the second American Robin I have seen, in the 14 months I
have lived here.
Additionally, I saw a female Downy Woodpecker, a Northern Flicker, in
addition to the normal Western Scrub Jays, European Starlings, and Crows.
I wonder if the cold and wind have brought in new birds to the area?
I still have the small unidentified songbirds, as before.
