I have ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDs (male & female) appearing at my feeder
(Tigard) on my miniscule condo deck throughout the day. When the
weather drops to 30 or below, I simply bring the feeder in at night and
set it out early in the morning. I'm usually an early riser; however,
one morning the ANNA'S were waiting for me and buzzing loudly. Perhaps
to let me know I was late? I also strung red chili pepper lights around
the deck railing. They were a little disconcerted by them at first but
now only stop occasionally to look and proceed on to the feeder that
hangs from the roof eave.
