I have ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDs (male & female) appearing at my feeder
(Tigard) on my miniscule condo deck throughout the day.  When the
weather drops to 30 or below, I simply bring the feeder in at night and
set it out early in the morning.  I'm usually an early riser; however,
one morning the ANNA'S were waiting for me and buzzing loudly.  Perhaps
to let me know I was late?  I also strung red chili pepper lights around
the deck railing.  They were a little disconcerted by them at first but
now only stop occasionally to look and proceed on to the feeder that
hangs from the roof eave.
