Can Oystercatchers Move Their Nests/Eggs Short Distances?

Here's why I ask. I've been following this pair of Black Oystercatchers on Seal
Rock for a while...they ferciously guard a certain area, they are always there,
they seem to tend an area they is just far enough into a crevice I can't quite
see in. Today, I was talking with on of the volunteers who often set their
scopes up on the observation platform above Cobble Beach with an excellent view
of Seal Rock. She said that for a while she was able to see the nest on the
rock but has seen it in a week....HOWEVER, I still see these oystercatchers
always there, always vigilent, and they just go crazy if another bird gets near
this crevice...which I am interpreting as defending their nest. Any chance they
moved their nest?
