Thanks to everyone who responded with such great info as to where to see bobolinks and black oystercatchers in Oregon!  I appreciate your generosity in sharing that info with me very much.
   
  I was thrilled to spy a meadow of bobolinks last week, my first sighting of them ever.  What gorgeous birds!  A pair of sandhill cranes flew over me at the same time.
   
  I am now in Portland and will be heading for the coast Sunday evening, in hopes of seeing black oystercatchers.  Thanks for all the great tips.  If anyone sees any of them this week in any coastal locations, I'd love to hear about it.
