[obol] Birding in Portland Area?

I was wondering whether anyone knows of any upcoming birding trips in the greater Portland area from today (Tuesday, July 25) through this coming Sunday?  I am visiting and will be here a few days only.  I am staying in the northeastern part of the city-- near 68th Street Northeast and Northeast Prescott Streets.  I understand I am currently 3 blocks from the Grotto (while e-mailing here at the library).  Does anyone know of any private residences in this area within walking distance that might have beautiful birds in their yards I could gaze at while strolling the neighborhoods?
