[obol] RBA Ancient Murrelet at Haystack Res. Redmond!

Craig and I saw the ANCIENT MURRELET from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and then
we left.  It was at the south end of Haystack Reservoir (north of Redmond
and south of Madras area).  It was north of the three white buoys and then
while we were there it swam south of the three white buoys.  It was very
actively diving and hanging out by itself.  I got great looks at a lifer
bird for me!  Very pretty bird and the ANCIENT MURRELET was in nice plumage,
very distinct black and white markings.  It was right at 32 degrees, raining
and cold.  The rain froze on my truck - so it was chilly.  Roger Robb showed
up before we left and he was able to see the bird again.

It was hard to keep looking at the Murrelet because it would dive so much
and the light was bad and it was cold.  So if you go out to look for it - be
patient!

Roger Robb called to say that he found an Ancient Murrelet along the south
shore of Haystack Reservoir (Redmond area) near three white buoys.  He
called at 2:35 today, Wednesday.  Roger took some photos, though he says
their quality may be poor because the bird was diving frequently.
