11/7 Bandon Coos Cty

We took a spin around the Bandon Coquille River Coos Cty harbor just
after high tide today. As Dave Irons said, everything was under water.
Again, a lack of gulls around. We did find 2 EARED GREBES off the
viewing platform at Bandon Marsh NWR (which was entirely under water).
We also had one LONG-TAILED DUCK in the river just up from the mouth,
hanging with a bunch of scoters and Western Grebes. About 20-30 BLACK
TURNSTONES were on the pier behind the Coast Guard building, but no
Ruddies nor Surfbird, Whimbrel, or Tattler. 2 HEERMAN'S GULLS were in
the parking lot by the jetty, now full of woody debirs and seaweed (the
waves were coming over the foredune and jetty rocks all along the jetty
road). Couldn't see more than 100 yards out in the ocean, pure white out.

Cheers
