Well, maybe Bill, or maybe not.  If Lars is correct, which we can debate 
(remember, predictions of certain species overtaking N America have 
sometimes not come true - ie, Shiny Cowbird, Cattle Egret - and 
sometimes have some truth to them - ie, E Collared Dove), then it could 
be possible that a male Costa's was in Lake Oswego all summer, bred with 
a female Anna's since no female Costa's was around (and apparently 
everyone tells me there are plenty of hybirds), then an offspring hybrid 
could still be in the area with the male Costa's, no?  One could argue 
this is not a juvenile, but whose to say that it didn't fledge last May 
and now has gone thru a significant amount of molt?
