Bill Clemons and others made a lot of good comments about how to
find birds without attaching maps etc. If a person who enjoys the
technology side of birding wants more information, say about the
Ridgefield Refuge, just put "Ridgefield NWR" into GOOGLE. There is a
birding guide as well as maps of the refuge on the USF&WS website as well
as on the Vancouver Audubon website which you can also GOOGLE. You can
also find directions to birding sites by going to:
www.scn.org/earth/tweeters/ and clicking on Cascadia Birding Links. Or
better yet buy the ABA "Birding Washington" book edited by Hal Opperman,
it has maps in it and we won't have to rewrite the general directions
every week.
