[obol] 11/29/06 - Union County Birds

Birders -
 
This morning (11/29), I had the privilege to bird with Mike Marsh  of 
Portland.  Our main objective was to find Rosy Finches or Snow  Buntings.  The winter 
weather had subsided, so we tracked out to Thief  Valley.  Highlights 
included:
 
La Grande Waste Water Treatment Ponds
 
1 - PIED-BILLED GREBE
1 - COMMON LOON
 
Thief Valley
 
1 - GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE
1 - AMERICAN TREE SPARROW
 
Near Telocaset (Hill Lay Road)
 
~150 - 175 - GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCH
