[obol] OBOL LOL?

Dear Dave, and others who have asked,
LOL, laughing out loud... at sunrise... I had some bantam chicks I kept
in a box in the house for warmth. When the roosters started trying to crow,
they made the strangest noises, which would set me off laughing. Something
my alarm clock could never do.

MOUNTAIN QUAIL make so many different sounds, they are very vocal with each
other. There are times I will be stumped by a sound, only to find out,
surprised, it was MOQU talk. I¹m not sure the young ones have to practice
sounds to get them right. I once had some young bantam roosters who had to
practice crowing to get it right. I was LOL at sunrise.
