N. Spit of Coos Bay, 1730-1830, cloudy, 50's, wind <5,
10/2:
1- BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER (beats last year's latest
Coos record by over a week!)
1- BAIRD'S SANDPIPER
1- PECTORAL SANDPIPER
70-SEMIPALMTED PLOVERS
600- WESTERN SANDPIPERS
500- LEAST SANDPIPERS
4- DUNLIN
52- LONG-BILLED DOWS
100- AMERICAN PIPITS

Also, earlier in the day, out in the Snowy Plover
nesting area on the south end of the north spit where
I was working I jumped two HORNED LARKS.

On 10/3 out on the north spit there were 1-2 LAPLAND
LONGSPURS with a flock of about 300 A. Pipits. I also
had a fly-over GOLDEN-PLOVER sp. There were a few
swallows around also, 10 VIOLET-GREENS and 8 BARNS.
Two Yellow Warblers, a few yellowthroats, and lots of
rumps was all I could find in the willows.

ENJOY!
