Dave, Khanh,

I too have noticed that if I send a message and put BOTH OBOL and COBOL in
the "To" and "Cc" lines that the posting shows up twice on OBOL.

Let's give the theory a try....

Hi Khanh,

I believe that double postings to OBOL result from subscribing to both OBOL
and COBOL. When you hit send, they go to both lists, and two copies go to
OBOL.

The listserv software at OSU must have a small glitch, anyway that's my
guess. The same thing happens when someone (like me) who is subscribed to
COBOL and OBOL enters a report on Birdnotes and then selects the option to
forward a copy to various listservers.

I'm not sure what is a good solution might be other than to unsubscribe to
one or the other lists and then re-subscribe with another email address or
maybe just another password/account might do it. Hotmail is also notorious
for mucking up listserv software, so maybe you could try using another free
email service. I like Yahoo's free email myself.

Good luck, and hoping to see you up at Green Ridge one of these days.

Dave

Hi Obolers!

I am sorry for the double posts, spelling errors, and syntax in my English.
I appreciate the corrections and notifications of the problems.

I am not blind and not perfect. Just enjoy the sightings and the fact that
I regularly post to share my experiences.

I only hit send button once as I have been for the last two years when I
post. You can ignore it for now. I know in the past Mike Denny, Ruth and
Patrick Sullivan, and Wilson Cady have had the same problems.

Good birding,

Khanh Tran
