Curious what the opposition would be towards a Railroad Museum at Oaks? I remember that the SP 4449 was there long before Oaks refuge was there. It seems like an opportunity to meld the two and increase attraction for both.
I can't make it to the meeting as the lad has a cold, and I'm the "manny", but I would be interested in a post highlighting the meeting.
Both a Train AND a Bird fan,
Vern

Subject: [obol] OPPOSE OAKS REFUGE INCURSION
There is a proposed railroad museum at the south end of Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge in Portland, below Sellwood Park. Details on page 3 of The Bee. I plan to attend the SMILE meeting to night, Wednesday, Oct 4 at 7:30 pm, at the SMILE Station at SE 13th and Tenino. I encourage anyone interested to attend the meeting. Linda Leavens
