[obol] RBA -- RED-NECKED STINT FLORENCE

Obol,
   Alan Contreras just called.  They have found a juvenile RED-NECKED
STINT in Florence.  The bird was located at the south end of the crab
docks at the Siuslaw south jetty.  It was described as near the little
creek that runs into the ocean.  It was with a few Western Sandpipers
and Sanderlings.  The bird was seen well by Alan, Dave Irons and the
Stotz's.  Photographs were being attempted and the observers saw the
legs well.  Alan described the bird as similar in plumage to the
juvenile he and I had found a few years ago at Siltcoos, but was a bit
duller.  More details will follow when they return to the valley.
