Yesterday, there was an unusually colored goldfinch at our feeder. It had a yellow face/head, black bars on its wings, and black primaries and the rest of it was pure white. It was quite beautiful. I was able to snap a few mediocre pictures if anyone is interested. I'm thinking it might be partially leucistic, but not positive.

This is our first migration season in this house so it's been fun seeing what comes to our yard. I saw my first yard TOWNSENDS WARBLER, WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW and house sparrows yesterday. I was bummed about the house sparrows and they don't deserve to be capitalized. We've also had a large influx of DARK-EYED JUNCOS this week. There were also 2 COOPERS HAWKS soaring above the yard, heading south. Lots of BC CHICKADEES, a few RB NUTHATCHES, and many AMERICAN GOLDFINCHES are regulars.

I live in the River Road area of Eugene.

Matt
