Those looking to go out to the flats off parking lot C at the South 
Jetty of the Columbia River (SJCR) will notice fencing and signs around 
the parking lot warning people from getting up on the jetty. To access 
the flats, walk back along the entrance road to the first break in the 
shore pines on your left (north) and then cut in there and walk out to 
the ponds that way. Don't set foot on the jetty or get near the rocks as 
there are signs warning of fines and jail time due to the danger of the 
construction.
