Birders -
Not about birds exactly, but interesting non-the-less. Regarding birds, I
did see the La Grande BLUE JAY yesterday (10/12) near the corner of Modelaire
& Allum streets.
Good Birding,

ODFW adopts rule allowing waterfowl hunting in portion of the City of Coos
Bay
SALEM – At the city’s request and after considering input from a public
meeting, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife today adopted a rule
allowing waterfowl hunting within a portion of the City of Coos Bay.
Waterfowl hunting is now permitted within the city limits of Coos Bay in the
area of the city bounded on the west by Isthmus Slough Channel, bounded on
the south by what would be the natural extension of "A" Street, bounded on the
east by the dike, and bounded on the north by the city limits.
Duck season opens Saturday, Oct. 14 in Duck Hunting Zone One, which includes
the City of Coos Bay.
