[obol] Color-banded Western Gull

Max and others who sight color-banded birds:   The Bird Banding Laboratory 
keeps data on all authorized color banders.  Reporting to them should be 
done.  Sorry, but I do not know their email address.  Dennis Vroman of obol

While birding near the north jetty of Tillamook Bay, we saw what appeared to 
be a third summer Western Gull with a red band on its left leg and an 
aluminium band on its right. It was in a small group of gulls that included 
two Heerman's and and a few Glaucous-wings. Does anyone know of researchers 
who could use this information?

On other beaches, we found flocks of Western Sandpipers, juvenile 
Sanderlings, and a mystery peep.
