[obol] Monday - no buff, no ruff

I spent a good portion of the afternoon yesterday birding the Redhead Pond
vicinity of Fern Ridge but could not locate the Buff-breasted Sandpiper.
Nothing else too interesting either - just the usual common stuff.  By the
time I made it out to Florence, I only had about an hour of light left, and
it was cold, windy, and foggy.  I spent that hour carefully checking all of
the ponds along the dike where the ruff has been seen, but I could not
locate it.

 

Other birds seen on the dike ponds:

Wilson's Snipe - 3

American Bittern - 1

Red-necked Phalarope - 2

Pectoral Sandpiper - 3

Peeps (I think they were all Least) - 6

Killdeer - 1
