[obol] Ankeny; Monday afternoon

After being at and seeing some great birds at Ridgefield over the weekend, I
stopped at Ankeny NWR Monday afternoon on the way back home to Eugene. Of
interest: Black Phoebe at Wood Duck Pond; Buena Vista Road ¼ to ½ mile west
of railroad tracks there is a yellow house on the north side of the road
with a large patch of oak trees, there was a pair of Acorn Woodpeckers. It
was fun watching them go from split rail fence, to telephone poles, to oak
trees, and back and forth! Another spot to see them in the Willamette River
Valley?

Also got great video of the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper at Ridgefield—I think he
was there to let everyone take his picture!
