[obol] Applegate banding day (Jo Co)

Today (09-20-06) at the Applegate River banding station (just west of Provolt, Josephine Co) a total of 8 species, 19 individuals were captured, the list:

Brown Creeper - 1
Swainson's Thrush - 6
Wrentit - 1 (recap)
Yellow Warbler - 1
Common Yellowthroat - 2
Spotted Towhee - 4
Fox Sparrow - 2 (Sooty race, really dark birds; 1st fall birds)
Song Sparrow - 2

Others observed:  a RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD (getting late here for them, was foraging on small insects), a GREAT EGRET, 70+ VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS (migrants), 3 WESTERN TANAGERS, my 1st fall GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW (seen).
