I checked the Mudflats off "Little Beach" on the east side of the 
Gearhart Spit this afternoon around 1700.

Shorebirds:

PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER   1
Black-bellied Plover   1
Semipalmated Plover   30
Baird's Sandpiper   1
Long-billed Dowitcher   1

all shorebirds were juveniles


California tortoiseshell: 1 licking the dry sand on the spit.
