I had no sooner read the postings on late Varied Thrushes when I looked up
and saw one in the tree in the yard. It is still here as of today.

I found pair of OSPREYS on a nest next to Highway 14 in Vancouver, where
one exits to take I-205 north.

The RED-BREASTED SAPSACKER hasn't been seen for 2 weeks, but we've plenty
of FLICKERS and a DOWNY WOODPECKER. The WOOD DUCKS were seen on the pond
behind the house several days ago.

BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEES and CHESTNUT-BACKED CHICKADEES continue at the
feeder, as well as PINE SISKINS and JUNCOS (when did they decide to leave
the ground at fly up to the feeder?)

We had our first ANNA'S HUMMINGIRD last week, a male. The RUFOUS HUMMERS
have been back for 2 weeks.

Hooray for spring !!!
