[obol] Advice for a 15-year-old birder?

Hi Everyone,
  My name is Malkolm Boothroyd, I'm an avid 15 year old birder. In June my parents and I will cycle from our home in Whitehorse, Yukon for a fossil-fuel-free "big year." It will not just be a birding adventure; it will be a conservation project. We will cycle through BC, down the  west coast until southern California, then east to Florida and finally back to Texas. 
   
  Our current plan is to cycle down the Oregon coast in the last half of August, 2007. We would love to hear about any birding hotspots. If you have advice for us - PLEASE let us know - we also would like to meet as many Oregon birders as we can as we travel.
   
  Our full schedule is on our website, www.birdyear.com. From the home page, hit the "Our Project" button, then click on the schedule link, in the second paragraph. Right now the schedule is a little rough, but we hope to be able to fill in the details after we hear advice from people.
