With record early CASPIAN TERNS and BROWN PELICANS as well as the ENSO
(El Nino/ Southern Ossillationevent confirmed by scientists that
occurred earlier this year, it might be helpful for birders to study up
on small terns like Elegant and Royal. Also, though not likely, Oregon
has been known to host frigatebirds. Knowing the difference between
Magnificent and Greater Frigatebird (which currently I do not--I need to
review) would also be a good thing just in case an opportunity presents
itself. I am sure their are other species that we might watch out for,
odd things are going on with our climate regardless after all.
