BANDING REPORT- Neawanna Wetland Preserve
04-11-2007

Method: Up to eight 9m mist nets are placed in mixed Oregon
Crabapple/Twinberry/Spruce along the the upper Neawanna River,
Seaside, Clatsop Co. OR. Captured birds are measured, ringed
with USBBL numbered metal bands and released. Data on time of
capture and side of net captured are also recorded to gain
an understanding of movements through the area.

Notes: The weather was marginal this morning with a breeze that
could decide which direction it was coming from. We closed down
after it began raining, so only 3 hours of net time today.

All the RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS were females, not sure what that
means. We saw but did not catch YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS and COMMON
YELLOWTHROATS.
