I am always looking for volunteers to assist on the 10th Annual AHS Astoria Airport Mitigation Bank Wetland Monitoring Event, wherein we team adult mentors in various protocols with two-three 9th grade science students to collect biological and chemical data (Plant, Invasive Plant, Birds, Marsh Wren, Nestbox, Water Quality, Fish, and Amphibian Survey teams) on wetland health.  

Anybody interested in assisting, give me an email; this year's trips will take place May 10-11.  I will be happy to send more details, such as the schedule, what to expect, the protocols, etc.

Co-teacher Glen Fromwiller and I pre-scouted the wetland this AM and found the following species 0800-0900 hrs(lots of family values displayed):
