Hello Birders,

Today several birders viewed the ARCTIC LOON off the Hansville Store near Point No Point(in Washington State)on at least 2 occasions, where it remained fairly far offshore by itself. The bird was told to be less active than previous day,but allowed great scope views for those that were able to see it. As a result no photos of the bird were taken due to the distance and water conditions.

We have placed 16 photos taken yesterday of the Arctic Loon onto our website for viewing. These photos were taken in a variety of light conditions and many of the photos are still somewhat of poor quality due to the "graininess",but much better than photos taken during previous visits. Nonetheless, we are pleased with the photos and we figure most birders will enjoy the photos too. These photos can be accessed from the following link: http://www.pbase.com/godwit/arctic_loon_photos/ . In addition we have placed a few additional photos taken during our visit to Hansville including a portion of a shorebird group along the rocky beaches, a Horned Grebe and a group of "Black"Brant. These photos can be accessed from the following link: http://www.pbase.com/godwit/recent_photos/

Good birding,
