large, dark, cancerous mass of twigs and debris resembling a Beaver's lodge.
Some people have trouble actually seeing the nest for the first time even
when they're looking right at it because they're looking for a birdie's nest
rather than a sniper's hideout the size of a Kodiak Bear. If you think Bear
rather than birdie; you'll find the nest faster.

Where? ... City of Hillsboro, at the intersection of SW Wood Street and Hwy
219. Thomas Bros Portland street guide page 593, square B6. For those with
good legs (not me, I'd call a cab) the north observation deck is about a 3/4
to 7/8's mile stroll from the transit center in Hillsboro.

Wheelchair Friendly? ... Yes. Excellent off-street parking, and really easy
wheeler and walker access to a roofed and hand-railed deck. Some bench-style
seating; and one of us usually brings along a couple of camping chairs.

Restrooms? ... Good ones available a mile south at Jackson's education
center. McDonald's is closer, at the corner of Baseline and 1st Ave.

Gourmet Coffee? ... Nearest Starbucks is at the corner of Main and 1st Ave.
Convenient parking is iffy.
