On 7/28, N. Spit of Coos Bay, one EARED GREBE- the
earliest "fall" arrival in Coos County by 25 days (the
old record dated back to 1983)!

Also at the same location on 7/31 was a single BAIRD'S
SANDPIPER and a juvie LESSER YELLOWLEGS.

Bandon Marsh continues to be busy and amongst the
thousands of peeps on 7/30 was a single LONG-BILLED
CURLEW and at least 9 RUDDY TURNSTONES plus
dowitchers, BB Plovers, G. Yellowlegs, RN Phalaropes,
etc.

The Shorebird Festival, based out of Charleston, is
coming up and a week earlier than usual- it's over
Labor Day weekend. I noticed Greg Gillson still has a
few spaces open on the Saturday pelagic. It's a
shorter trip but the price is very reasonable- $55.
Hope to see a few familiar faces around that weekend.

Happy Birding all,
Tim R
