[obol] Fern Ridge Resivoir

Yesterday, 8/2, two friends (non birders) and I spent 3 1/2 hours sea kayaking along the east side of Fern Ridge Res.  I ended up counting 37 species with the highlights for me being a Green Heron, Purple Martins, American Bittern, and Caspian Terns.  The Caspian Terns proved to be the best performers for us as they fought and squabbled among themselves.  The temp. was hot and the winds were calm and everything, including us, was fighting the heat.
