This evening during gaps in the action at the Yamhill Co Fair rodeo, I saw an unsurprising number of Barn Swallows, Mourning Doves and Rock Pigeons aloft. The best birds were 2 Acorn Woodpeckers, which nest in dead trunks on trees behind the horse barns. Pamela Johnston
