[obol] Dave Marshall's improved status

I have been asked to provide an update for Oregon birders on Dave Marshall's
health situation, since so many of you know Dave personally or via "Birds of
Oregon."

Dave's condition is improving as of today, August 4, and he expects to leave
the hospital during the coming week to go into a rehab center.  We don't
know what day that will happen.

Right now the family is not encouraging visitors (though visitors are
allowed and they won't kick you out), but they do encourage phone calls.
Dave is in room 559 at Providence St. Vincent Hospital in Portland.  The
phone there is 503-216-1234.

Dave is very tired and can't talk much, so I don't think a flood of calls is
a good idea.  However, if you know Dave and want to say hello, that is fine.
