[obol] Ridgefield NWR Phalarope

Today, Bill Clemons and I birded Ridgefield NWR (while his mom rock-hounded the refuge), and we found one Red-necked Phalarope.  [Ridgefield NWR is off I-5, at Exit 14, in Washington state.]  Apparently, three Red- necked Phalaropes were seen a few days ago by Clay Davis, Jim Danzenbaker, and Roger Windemuth.  Our one bird was on the south side of Rest Lake, and we nearly gave up on finding it.  It’s a lovely little bird, and we were pleased to find it.  The complete day’s list is below:
