Hi Obolers-
Sorry for the late post. We spent some time at Davis Lake, about 10 miles north of Hwy 58 off the Cascade Lakes Hwy, this past
weekend. We camped at East Davis Lake Campground, a truly lovely spot along Odell Creek, with a view of meadows and the lake. It's
a large burned area, but the campground itself is in some green trees. Tons of birds there, many many juveniles. A flock of about
30 WHITE-FACED IBIS was nearby all weekend. We saw several OSPREY, often interacting with BALD EAGLES. A single CLARK'S NUTCRACKER
came to drink at the creek. We heard SANDHILL CRANES somewhere out on the meadow both mornings (there was frost both mornings too).
It was very birdy and if anyone is interested in more details, just email me.
