[obol] Red-shouldered Hawk

I saw a Red-shouldered Hawk  this morning on my way to Wikiup Res.  The hawk was perched on a small snag just west of the Harper Bridge over the Deschutes R.  The bridge is located on the Mt. Bachelor Road along the south edge of Sunriver.   It gave me both front and back views and I got a couple of digiscope pictures through my binos.

I ended up seeing 40 spp which only included a few shorebirds.  Long billed Curlews (7), Spotted Sandpiper (1), Greater Yellowlegs (1) Common Snipe (2).

I also saw a herd of 30+ elk from the Wikiup Dam.  They were way out in the dry flats below the high water line.

I also went looking for Black-backed and Three-toed woodpeckers in the Davis Burn along the south side of Wikiup but found none.
