[obol] Fern Ridge Birds

Obol,
I followed up on Roger's post around lunchtime today. I could not find
the Plover until something flushed the entire flock and the plover took
flight, being quite vocal. I managed to get on the bird in flight and
watched it head west towards Perkin's Park. I lost track of it over the
lake. It may have very well came back, but I certainly did not see it. The
coast is a lot cooler today...
Shorebird turnover was pretty significant from last night. Many
DOWTICHERS are gone and as Roger noted LOTS of LESSER YELLOWLEGS have
arrived. Also of note were 5-7 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS in the same general area
as the golden plover. I thought it pertinent to check the end of Royal Ave
and was surprised to flush a flock of 13 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS. A large flock
in my book.
  Happy migration!
