Although I couldn't keep from seeing them in northern California I could  not 
buy a chance of seeing one in Oregon. Every body was seeing them in Lane  
County that lived around the Eugene-Springfield area but me. I went to several  
location they have been reported around Fern Ridge and Delta Ponds with no 
luck.  That ended thanks to Dave irons yesterday when he was leading a group of us 
into  the Fisher Butte unit at Fern Ridge then by strange luck when I went to 
 Riverpark nursing home on the corner of Alexander Loop and Goodpasture Road 
with  several of the Delta ponds next to it I went out in the back yard and 
watched  one giving a smaller Western Wood Pewee a bad time that tried to share 
the same  small tree to fly out and catch flying insects from. In all these 
years evading  me I see them in two loctions two days in a roll.
